Volunteer opportunities abound

With September coming quickly not only are we gearing up for Awana, but also looking for volunteers in all areas of our children's ministry program at Calvary Crossroads, whether it be in the nursery, pre-school or elementary program; mid-week or Sunday; occasional, seasonal or all of the time. If you would like to explore these opportunities call Joe Burgess at the church office.

Awana Leaders' Dinner & Orientation - September 12th

There will be a dinner and orientation for Awana leaders on September 12th at the home of Joe and Robin Burgess. The event is from 6:00 p.m. until approximately 8:00 p.m. or when they decide to pack up and go home.

Vacation Bible School DVD

We have placed in the church lobby a number dvd's which wrap up our Flight School VBS into an enjoyable ten minutes of viewing. Please feel free to take one.

AWANA BBQ (September 16th)

AWANA begins again this year with a free barbeque on September 16th starting at 5:45 p.m. This is an informal time of coming together, updating registration information, and asking questions. Please join us.

Then on September 23rd we will have our first meeting, beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 8:15 p.m.

Awana is for children beginning two years prior to entering Kindergarten and continuin as far as they want to go. Our Middle School program is even using the Awana curriculum. I will post a calendar for the upcoming year very soon.  Joe Burgess

September is just around the corner

It's been a while since I've updated this site. It's not been that nothing has happened, but rather than I have been neglectful of keeping current in some areas. Vacation Bible School was a huge success, and we are now getting ready to begin another Awana year with many exicitng things coming. OUr children's program has continued to reach into the lives of a number of children, and I am very thankful for each person who has had a part.
