Our Grand Prix track is finished and it looks awesome. We had it up during children's church today, and there was a lot of interest. The Grand Prix is now less than 2 weeks away on the 17th starting at 10 a.m. We will begin inspection, weigh-in and car registration at 9:15 a.m. and will begin racing as soon after 10 as possible. We are expecting that each car will run about 8 times (2 times of each of 4 lanes), which means we will have twice as many heats as we have cars. Don't worry, we will be cooking plenty of hotdogs! The kids meals are included in the $5 fee for the kit and there will be a donation bucket for the rest.
Parents can also register their kids for Awana during the event and ask any quesitons of leaders which they might have. A lot of help is needed, so if you want to help in any way please contact Joe Burgess at 541-479-4334.
